Last week, the Danish Capital presented to the style world an assortment of fashion collections that have gathered popularity and all for a good cause. The brands showcased were young and cool in terms of trends but the main spotlight was on sustainability.
Mindful of the effect that the business of fashion has on the ecological and social arena,
Copenhagen Fashion Week(CPHFW) declared that one of it's objectives would be to promote and to provide a platform for sustainability.
"Our goal is to help reduce the negative environmental and social impact of the industry, as well as to encourage more responsible production and consumption of fashion."
Numerous brands and designers are making the effort to reduce the damage to the environment and the CPHFW is proof that a change for the better is right around the corner.
Witnessing young brands take initiative to perform damage control for the environment, sets an example for the established fashion houses that it's never too late to make a change! #sustainabilitymatters
