7 Street Style Trends Spotted at NYFW

As the Spring Summer 2020 of New York comes to an end, the style enthusiasts have continued to flaunt their individual sense of dressing. While black may be the color of fashionistas, the streets of New York were spilling with vivid colors and striking prints without an all-black look in sight!

Showgoers put on a colorful display with recurring trends and we believe you should stock up on similar styles to make the best of the inspiration.

Read on to get some style inspo -

1. Go Green

We are not just talking about the environment-friendly approach, we mean literally! Hues of green - be it neon or lime - were spotted on the streets. Embrace the trend as a lime pullover, a boho maxi dress or if you're feeling brave, strut with a pair of neon green pants.

2. Plaid

As a pattern, plaid is quite underrated. It can easily switch up a boring or monotonous outfit and actually look like you put some effort into dressing for that Friday at work! The geometry makes it look smart but the color can add interest. Choose to go with plaid pants, skirts or dresses. Plaid co-ordinates are a great way to make heads turn.

3. Denim

Oh, classic denim! Skinny denims are a dying trend but that does not mean that we have given up on denim. The Canadian Tuxedo is back in the spotlight after a few attendees showcased their never-dying affection for the denim on denim look. Looking effortless and chic in denim has never been easier. Throw on a pair of straight-leg jeans with a denim shirt and voila! you are ready to take on the Monday blues.

4. Tie-Dye

Tie and Dye had a lowkey presence in fashion throughout these years but we suddenly saw an outburst of tie-dye inspired prints with all the colors of the rainbow on the streets this season at New York. Jersey dresses, denim, sweaters, and outerwear saw hints of ombre gradation and tie-dye, which opposed to stripes or basic ditsy prints are a great way to add color to the outfit.

5. Animal Prints

The vintage prints of the 70s had a major moment on the streets with a lot of animals prints being worn on apparel and also accessories. Clearly, you don't need a how-to when it comes to rocking animal prints. Leopard, Zebra, and Python prints are best worn as accessories if you are looking for a slight hint of style. However, knock yourself out if you wanna reveal the inner animal by choosing a print dress or printed co-ordinates.

6. Luxe Textures

Add some glamour to your outfit by going for silky textures and watch the crowd go wooh! Satin and silk drape over the body and instantly make your outfit look more expensive than it already is. Keep it lowkey for an evening by pairing a silk slip dress with a structured blazer or wear it over a bright printed floral top for a cheerful day look.

7. Monochrome Dressing

Monochromatic dressing, involves head-to-toe outfits in the same color palette, wearing shades of a single color together. Like an all-black look, monochrome works very well as a statement and creates a bold impression.

If you thought the fashion collections could be your only source of inspiration, street style is a gift that keeps on giving!
